A beautifully carved early oak panel from the last quarter of the 16thc , probably coming from a grand coffer...it is carved with a floral scene with trailing plants, that look like hops...it has gained a very good colour and is in fine condition for its age...the carving flows nicely with a bold intricate pattern, obviously carved by a skilled confident craftsman.
