Having just returned from a short break abroad, it was back to the road for a trip to Ardingly last week....I wondered what to expect with political conditions still unresolved....the first day was pleasant weather which brought the buyers in, although in not the number you would expect...I put it down to the Easter break, where there was no shortage of fairs to attend.....the day started well with sales of metalware and treen and finished on a high with the sale of a small 17thc panelled oak coffer...
I was looking forward to the second day as a very good customer was coming in with some nice items for me to purchase from his collection...he didn't disappoint and I bought two good glasses, (which sold later in the day) and several good pieces of treen....all in all a good fair , that continues to surprise me..!
This week I am off to Builth Wells in Wales, so new territory for me....I don't know what to expect, but nice to be in another part of the country I havn't been to before.....
Hopefully see you soon...
Mark.
