A superb example of an 18thc Candlestick which has everything.....it stands on an octagonal shaped base, with seamed central column, it has a working twist-up ejector mechanism and is stamped with the makers name George Grove and has the owners initial I W.... the core peg marks (three) are clearly visible.....
English. C1748-68. George Grove is recorded as working between 1748-1768 in Birmingham....described as a candlestick maker.
