A fine quality Georgian butcher's steel with bobbin turned ebony handle, decorative engraved brass ferrule and steel hanging loop. The ebony has an attractive graduated colour from nut brown at the top to almost black above the brass ferrule......the steel is in very good polished condition considering that it is a domestic item which has had lots of use over the years....
