A superb example of an early 18thc Brass Peat /Ash Bucket...this is the first one of this type I have purchased and it ticks all the right boxes...it is seamed with early rolled copper rivets ( a left over from the 17thc...typical on warming pans from this period), it stands on small turned bun feet and it is just the right size to be used as a coal bucket....would look really at home in a period house or cottage.
Dutch. C1700-20. Provenance of a private collection.
