An early oak joyned stool from the Commonwealth period....typical of this time with very little decoration just a solid no nonsense stool....it has a thick top bordered with a wide thumbnail moulding...the top rails are plain bicuspid shaped rails, supported by four sturdy straight columnar legs, which in turn are united by four plain thick stretchers...it even has managed to keep its original feet...good natural colour and original condition.
English. C1650-55.
