Code: MS 7836
Dimensions:
A fine example of an early 17thc James 1 period oak joyned coffer....it is decorated with punchwork, scratch carving and attractive nulling...I particularly like the wide "muntin", ( the wide flattish piece of wood which holds the panels in place) always an early feature and the original hand made iron "butterfly" hinges....all the boards are original ....with a very good natural colour and patina it would add greatly to any collector of period English oak furniture.
