Two 18thc English Country Furniture Oak Stools. English. C1780-90.

Two very nice Oak "country" stools from the late 18thc, both in excellent condition with a warm natural colour...the larger one has hand made screws that hold the top on , pegged stretchers and I like the way the moulding under the seat has been shaped and also has a line inscribed into it that mirrors the shape....lovely detail.

The smaller one is of pegged and nailed construction, fine colour and also note how the maker has inset the stretchers into the legs...an unusual way of attaching the stretchers.!
