A rare survivor is this butter mould...carved with two parts to give the pattern of a stork or heron like bird, an almost two dimensional look...scarce to find a mould with the original pegs as they are almost always missing....lovely mellow colour to the aged walnut and in very nice condition.....from a very good collection.
