A superb mid 16thc silver & laburnum Quaich...which is a small shallow drinking vessel ,  passed around at ceremonies...it originates from the Gaelic word "Cauch"......this rare item is decorated with early wrigglework on the silver and is dated on the base 1557, when Mary Queen of Scots was on the throne...an amazing find to survive...!
