A rare survival from the 17thc is this richly patinated quaich, pronounced "quake" which is Scottish for a traditional drinking cup, formed of a central bowl with two lugs (handles)....sometimes referred to as the love cup as you would each take a handle and drink from it. This fine example is made from Beech and has ring turned decoration and is of a good size and in excellent condition.
