An Early 18thc Treen Apothercary Pestle & Mortar Made Of Ash. English.

Probably the best Apothercary Pestle & Mortar I have purchased....what is nice about this one is the size, it stands 5.25 inches in height , it is unusually made of English Ash, ( so many of these are made of Lignum or Fruitwood) which as you can see from the pictures has patinated to a wonderful mellow colour...it is decorated simply with ring turning and has wonderful pole lathe marks underneath....as if that is not enough it still retains the original pestle....they don,t come any better..!
