A fine example of a mid 19thc Scottish drinking vessel known as a Bicker...it is made from staved beech and pine which is held together with beech banding. It has gained a lovely colour, but what makes this very special is the provenance on the underneath....it is written in pencil and says " R.A.Baines Jan 29 - 1888 from your loving father.".....
