A fine example of a late 18thc steel butcher's steelyard with a fine quality brass weight, which is unusual as the other similar steelyards I have seen, have had cast weights....the weighing bar, has measurement segments cut out of it underneath...the steelyard is in excellent condition with a fine colour and comes from a private collection.
