Harrogate comes up a winner...!

An exciting weekend in Harrogate with Continuity Fairs putting a great show on....the weather was not good with a lot of rain on the first day, which meant the people came along in great numbers....the first few hours were quiet from the point of talking to interested clients....and then when I was starting to get a little concerned I  had my first big sale , which was this rare 18thc Elm Lacemakers "flash" stand pictured....I bought it at the show and sold it very well to a delightful couple from the north of England....it is always pleasing when nice pieces go to people who really apprecite the item as much as you do.....once the first good sale was done it all came together....it was quickly followed by another good sale to a  couple who couldn't believe their good fortune, as they were looking for a 17thc Oak bedside table and of course I had just bought the early Charles 1 Oak joyned table ( first one I have ever had ) which was perfect....they were so thrilled..! an end to a brilliant first day...on the second day a lovely couple from Wales couldn't believe their luck as I had the perfect William & Mary side table that they were looking for.....as well as selling three good bowls to the trade it finished on a high...

The tour continues with the magnificent Hinchingbrooke House Antiques Fair (see latest fairs entry for details) and then on to the IACF Shepton Mallet Fair next week....and the final leg of the tour will be the first week in April exhibiting at the NEC (April 4th -7th)....

Hope to see you at one of these venues...
