A rare 18thc Iron & Brass Rushlight Holder of unusual small size with acorn finial to the counter weight, picture 2,mounted on a circular Brass base,picture 3.(Rushlights came to the fore with the introduction of the unpopular Candle Tax in 1709 & repealed in 1831.)
