A fine pair of 19thc Pearlware miniature children's birth or christening plates made by John Rodgers & Son , Staffordshire, ...the factory was working from 1784 until 1836, both the plates are impressed with the makers name Rodgers on the reverse, which is quite rare with children's plates of this age to be marked. The plates have moulded hand painted Flowers & Fruit borders and the children's names William & Mary are in black transfer across the centre of each plate.
