 A rare Elizabethan Oak Panelled Coffer standing on shaped Gothic ends, it is carved in the Gothic Style with an architectural arcading manner and below it has a run of slanted "S" scrolls.... initialled N.F it still retains the 16thc wire loop hinges and lock. Inside it has the original candlebox with a secret compartment ....a truly magnificent example with a good natural colour and patination.
