An elegant and fine quality early 19thc Yew Wood & Elm high back Windsor  armchair, it has a stylised fleur-de-lis fretted central splat, which is unusual in the way the splat has an outward shape to the profile, crook shaped underarm supports and a crinoline stretcher....overall it has gained a very good colour and patination. This chair is from the Grantham, Lincolnshire area of England, which we can tell from the shape of the central stylised splat , typical of this region.
