A lovely example of these collectable Vestas, made from the Australian  Burra Nut....this one is in perfect condition,  ( the line that can be seen going down the front  ...see picture... is the natural form of the nut, not a crack) ....the case has become very tactile with a lovely patination and colour....the nut is opened by way of the silver mounted hinge which works well and closes tightly. ....the striker is at the base of the nut which is again made of silver with a cross hatched panel.
