A beautifully made mid 19thc Scandinavian lidded pot, it would have been used in the kitchen for dry storage of spices and other condiments...made of attractive figured Birch, it has a bone and horn locking bar to keep the lid secure........a domestic item which has gained a lovely natural colour and is in excellent condition.
