A very nice example of an early English Seal Top Spoon made of "Latten" (which is an alloy of zinc and copper ....it closely resembles brass, and is very useful as it can be hammered into thin sheets and used to make ornaments and domestic items...widely used in the 16th & 17thc) . This spoon is in remarkably good condition for its age and would certainly look at home in any collection of early spoons......it is stamped W inside a shield for the maker, but alas I cannot find who he is...
