An excellent example of these scarce very collectable "poking stick" irons....this one which has come from a private collection, is made of copper and has a nicely shaped finial ...they were placed in hot water to heat up and then used to iron ruffs and sleeves...this is about the sixth one I have managed to purchase in 23 years of dealing.... they don't come around very often..!
