A rare Sycamore biscuit stamp and pricker,.......carved out with the name YORK and a thistle head..... there are 6 small pins (now worn) on the face of the stamp for pricking the biscuit paste at the same time as it was printed,.... the stamp is in lovely used condition with a good colour......York Biscuits were invented to commemorate the marriage of the Duke of York to Princess Frederica Charlotte of Prussia in 1790.
