A finely made octagonal snuff box, which is made from a burr wood, that looks to be Amboyna, a popular wood from Indonesia,.... used in the 19thc, because of its attractive figuring, colour and durability ....it has a lined interior of tortoiseshell....and has a fully working hinged lid and is in excellent condition throughout.....a very fine example of these collectable pieces of treen.
