A good original example of these hard to find classic early 18thc candlesticks....unusual as most of these type of candlesticks by this date were joined to the base by being hollow and then expanded by a conical drift or punch so that it firmly gripped the base....this one is joined by the early method of peening into the base and then cleanly turned....it has the original shaped handle to the side ejector which still works effectively.....good natural colour and no repairs.
